What We Do

Sustainable Solutions for Afghan Communities

Our Mission in Action

Rural Movement Organization (RMO) is an Afghan NGO dedicated to the socio-economic empowerment of the most vulnerable people. Established in 2014 as the continuation of the Belgian NGO Solidarité Afghanistan Belgique (SAB), we build on decades of experience in rural Afghanistan.

Our work combines technical quality with community ownership: from energy-saving housing solutions and climate-smart agriculture to vocational training, teacher support, and emergency assistance when crises hit. We operate with partners such as Geres, government line ministries, and international institutions, with field presence in provinces including Kabul, Bamyan, Kapisa, Logar, and Parwan.

This section introduces each thematic area—how we work, who benefits, and how interventions stay practical and lasting for Afghan families.
